Comfort Colors 1717 Garment-Dyed T-Shirt – Custom DTF Print

The Comfort Colors 1717 is a premium heavyweight tee that prints and wears differently than a standard blank — in the best way. At 6.1 oz. of 100% ring-spun U.S. cotton, it's built for enhanced printability with a relaxed fit and a lived-in feel straight out of the box.

Garment-dyed construction means minimal shrinkage and a soft, broken-in hand from day one. Topstitched classic-width rib collar, shoulder-to-shoulder twill tape for structural integrity, and a signature twill label. Shade variation between pieces is inherent to the pigment dyeing process — not a defect, part of the character.

Two dye processes are in play depending on colorway. Pigment dye colors deliver a vintage, faded aesthetic that holds for the life of the garment. Reactive dye colors — including Black, White, Red, True Navy, Sage, Graphite, Midnight, and several others — provide a more traditional, uniform appearance with the same softness. A handful of colorways including Banana, Chambray, Terracotta, and Washed Denim are currently transitioning from reactive to pigment dye; mixed inventory is possible during this period.

DTF printing means unlimited colors, gradients, and fine detail — no screens, no color limits, no restrictions on artwork complexity. Prints are applied via heat transfer in our Denver metro workshop. Front and back placement available; additional locations configurable at checkout. Every order starts with a digital mockup — production doesn't begin until you approve it.
